Security Engineer
General Description:
Position will design, develop, and implement security systems to be integrated into
the overarching system architecture. Security engineer will program, operate, manage,
and monitor security systems and applications
.
Position may formulate, enforce, and evaluate IT security policy; create security plans;
assess and audit network vulnerabilities; and implement anti-virus methodologies. Position
may implement “Defense in Depth” principles and technology including
access/control, authorization, identification and authentication, Public Key Infrastructure
(PKI), and network and enterprise security architecture. Security engineers should maintain
current knowledge of government security regulations, processes, and procedures.
An A.A. or B.A./B.S. is preferred.
